Yes! We can do hard things!!!! I am attempting my first 100 mile race (running) this summer and am slightly terrified as well. Love reading your process and thoughts. I am sharing this with a cold water swimmer friend in Michigan. I think she'd enjoy it. Speaking of. Have you heard of the Mackinac Island Swim and the Mackinac Bridge swim? Definitely cold water!!!

Brava! I wish. From the age of 45, I did one scary thing a year. (Until scary things found me on their own). I am terrified of open water. Or closed water, for that matter. I swam in a full wet suit a full 400 meters one spring in a nearby lake - so muddy that it was impossible to see. Today someone filmed killer whales off a nearby beach - so... Yay! I will just continue to be in awe of you.

Brava to you! One scary thing a year is a lot. And I know what you mean when scary things find you--I had a few years of that and I'll take jumping in cold water over those any day. AND it's never too late to choose scary.

Go Ali! Training is an amazing process, I find. I’m sure you will rock that LONG run. Not familiar with the Michigan swim but sounds like some hard fun 🤩
